No-Fault Divorce Solicitors
The new ‘No Fault’ divorce law was introduced following the introduction of the Divorce Dissolution and Separation Act 2020. It means that parties no longer need to have alleged unreasonable behaviour or adultery, or have been separated for a minimum of 2 years.
Under the new No Fault Divorce process, either or both parties can apply for a divorce order or dissolution order to dissolve a marriage or partnership by making an application to the court with an accompanying statement confirming that the marriage or partnership has broken down irretrievably.
